Foster City’s Marina Point & Sand Harbor are Great for 1st Time Buyers. A Market Report 3.10.09

Marina Point

Marina Point

If you are a First-Time Buyer looking to move to Foster City you just can’t go wrong looking at either of these two Condo complexes.

Marina Point is a wonderful condominium complex in Foster City.  The units are large with many larger than some of the houses for sale in Foster City!  The complex is well maintained with lush grass, a huge pool and club house and it’s walking distance to Ranch 99 Market.  It’s a popular place for singles of any age, empty nester’s and young families desiring the top rated Foster City elementary schools.

This complex sits at the end of Foster City Blvd and Beach Park Blvd.  it’s a hop skip and a jump to Oracle.  You can bike there from the waterfront trail right across the street.  Don’t work at Oracle, but commute some where else?  Foster City is at the cross roads between 101 and 92 making it an easy commute north, south or east.

Currently there are 4 units for sale in Marina Point and there has been 1 sale within the past couple of weeks.

Sand Harbor

Sand Harbor

Sand Harbor sits across Beach Park Blvd., with part on Shell Blvd and the other part on Beach Park. The buildings along Beach Park sit along the waterfront allowing for beach access and boating.  These are a little older than Marina Point and smaller.

The amenities are similar for both complexes — pools and club houses but square footage is less for Sand Harbor, and parking is not secure.

Currently there are 2 units for sale in Sand Harbor and was one sale within the past couple of weeks.  One of the units is a Short Sale.

Don’t forget, if you are a First Time Buyer, Congress has graced you with a nice tax credit of $8000.  Don’t lose this opportunity to buy a home at a reasonable price in a great city with unbelievably low interest rates out there today!
